“TWINKLE TWINKLE: Crisp temperatures and sludgy sidewalks didn’t hold off the crowds for the opening of the “Bulgari: 125 Years of Italian Magnificence” exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris on Thursday night. Julianne Moore, Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen were among an estimated 3,000 guests who turned out to admire the brand’s archive baubles. Leading the Italian contingent was Bulgari chief executive officer Francesco Trapani, who caught up with Printemps chairman Maurizio Borletti and Antonio Belloni, managing director of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Visitors thronged the show’s central space to drink Champagne and admire reflections of the site’s steel-and-glass roof refracted in gem-like faceted walls. Among them, Lenny Kravitz mingled with French rocker Johnny Halliday, while Claudia Cardinale looked cozy in a sweeping mink coat. But it was 88-year-old Liliane Bettencourt who caused the biggest stir. The L’Oréal heiress, who this week made peace with her daughter after a bitter three-year legal battle, showed up early so she could view the gems at her leisure.” -WWD
